The objective of this session to create the opportunity for educational leaders and coaches to learn a case management approach to school improvement efforts and learn and practice root cause analysis techniques that will aide in analyzing key issues and challenges in the 8 Regions.

Case Management activities include:

Assessing and prioritizing needs
Identifying issues and causes
Creating solutions and monitoring ongoing support
Root Cause Analysis is the perfect complement to Data Analysis and can lead to:

more focused and structured discussions of "why" problems exist
verification of hypotheses of cause
improved school improvement plans
build-out of process-prevention activities
This professional development will enhance the ability of teams to track and monitor school improvement plans and continuous improvement. Being able to appropriately "triage" issues in support of school improvement means being able to identify and prioritize the types of issues that can be readily addressed and/or the issues that may need more investigation and more rigorous improvements.

This session will cover information for School Assessment Coordinators on the proper way to pack the WKCE and WAA testing materials.

This presentation prepares School Assessment Coordinators (SACs) and other school staff engaged in the state testing to understand the fall testing procedures and protocols. Those who view this will know which students test and can coordinate the state testing at their school by following the timeline and logistics for preparing testing materials for WKCE/WAA. They can then take this information and coordinate the administration and process for distributing and collecting materials in their sites to have a successful testing season.There is also a face to face session of this presentation for new SACs and returning SACSs who need a face to face learning environment. Any person administering the tests or handling the WKCE and WAA materials must also view the Test Security Mediasite.
